Our excellent products and creative compositions, guarantees something for everyone’s taste. We lay great value on regional produce and strictly control its origin and therefor have been awarded the AMA Gastro-seal annually since 2010. Taste the delicious golden yellow breakfast egg with rye bread straight from the farmer or immerse yourself in the unique tastes of lake Millstatt and relish our fresh wild-caught white fish.

Our garden terrace: has a view of the lake and is adorned with many plants: thanks to the Mediterranean-influenced climate, the terrace is luring from spring until mid-October. Perfect for relaxing in the morning, at noon and in the evening.

Our historic dining room: This spacious hall not only impresses with its appearance, but also has excellent acoustics.

Cozy coat-of-arms: Our coat of arms is the oldest, authentic-preserved restaurant in the lake Millstatt region and an ideal place for cozy evening hours, Christian’s wine trip or enjoy a good book in our small library make for a perfect ending to an eventful day.

Winter garden: Dining in the open air. Our winter garden is enclosed in glass, bright and friendly.

With our own net fishing in the lake we catch our fish daily and have been for over 150 years. Initially exclusively for the Austrian Emperor, and now for our guests.

Herbal and flower garden: Our garden is cultivated daily. From here, we get our beautiful flowers for the tables and food decoration and the fresh herbs that refine our soups, sauces and cocktails. Makes our food just tastes even better.

Our special moments of pleasure

A virtual wine trip with Christian: Our head waiter arouses your interest in our regional wines, with regular evening trips, revolving around Austrian wines. Interesting information and a funny, sociable evenings with good wine.

Morning flirt- This morning belongs to the parents and if you want to start the day in a private atmosphere, use our "Morning-flirt" offer with extensive Prosecco breakfast in your room. Our nannies will take care of the small family members, lots of fun and games guaranteed. (costs: EUR 39, - per family including Prosecco breakfast, children will be picked up at your time of choice, from 7.30 am from your room).

Sun-down at the lake: Enjoy the sunset from the boardwalk at the hotel Postillion on the lake and end the day with that special moment

Buffets & festivals: Whether a sushi buffet made purely from local fish, a delicious pancake or an Austrian dessert buffet, our kitchen will be delighted to spoil you with our delicacies.

Our own net fishery and our cuisine with its fresh Reinanken (local whitefish) dishes is really something special. We are proud that ARD, SAT1, ORF and numerous journalists have already been our guests.

FREE THIRST QUENCHER
Alcohol-free drinks at the juice bar as well as coffee, tea, cocoa and Millstatt’s fresh spring water are available free of charge throughout the day. We are happy to consider special dietary requirements for vegetarians and guests with food allergies. Our kitchen team is highly experienced in the preparing of meals for guests with food allergies. Example: allergies to dairy products, chicken, eggs, wheat and nuts…

Between power breakfast and sweet temptation

With the "Super-full-board", you will be able to dine almost at any time. From 07.30 am to 10 am our guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet with our delicacies changing daily. At noon, hungry tourists from 12.00 to 1.45 pm taste genuine Austrian home-cooked food (including vegetarian dish) as well as soup and salad from the buffet. In the afternoons from 3 pm to 5 pm, there is a choice between cakes, biscuits, strudel varieties and lots fresh fruit. From 6 pm you are invited to the children's table with a special menu for our small guests.

What gourmets dream about

The culinary highlight of the day is from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and offers a five-course gourmet menu with a large salad buffet. You can choose between three tasty main dishes. One dish is a completely vegetarian wellness dish and a dish made from exclusively local ingredients. Two appetizers and soups to choose from and our famous theme and dessert buffet complete the delicious pampering program.
